He emphasised the importance of working together to address the growing threat of climate-change-related catastrophic catastrophes.
President Rahmon informed Prime Minister Shehbaz of Tajikistan’s continuous assistance in this matter, including the dispatch of an extra convoy of trucks bringing critical flood relief supplies.
The prime minister remembered his meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon last month on the margins of the SCO Summit in Uzbekistan’s ancient city of Samarkand, and expressed delight with the gradually expanding bilateral interaction in a variety of fields.
The two presidents also addressed regional and global topics of common concern, and they agreed on the need of working together to improve regional peace, stability, and security.
Both parties also agreed to further up their efforts to promote stronger economic cooperation, notably in trade, energy, and connectivity.
