Sindh transporters announce 10% fare reduction following drop in fuel prices

Sindh transporters have declared a 10% reduction in fares following the significant decrease in the prices of petrol and diesel. This decision comes after a meeting between the Sindh transport department and a delegation of the transport association.

Key Details:

  1. Sindh transporters have officially announced a 10% reduction in intercity fares after discussions with the transport department.
  2. The decision to cut fares is in response to the substantial decrease in petrol and diesel prices, providing relief to commuters.
  3. The transport department issued a warning of strict legal action against any offenders and emphasized the implementation of the fare reduction.
  4. In a similar move, the Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) has also announced a 10% reduction in transport fares for both inter-city and intra-city routes.
  5. The decision by ITA was made following instructions from Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and aligns with the government’s reduction in petroleum product prices.
  6. The reduced fares will be applied to 23 different routes in the Islamabad district and intra-city transport outside Islamabad.

This fare reduction by Sindh transporters and the Islamabad Transport Authority is a positive response to the recent drop in fuel prices. Commuters are expected to benefit from the lowered fares on various routes.
