Sindh Police amalgamates Madadgar-15 and Emergency 1122 helplines

The Sindh Police has taken a significant step towards enhancing emergency response and efficiency by merging their Madadgar-15 helpline with the Sindh Emergency Rescue Service (SERS) 1122. The Chief of Sindh Police’s Security Division, DIG Maqsood Ahmed, announced the strategic collaboration to strengthen the city’s emergency response capacities and provide prompt aid to those in need.

As part of the partnership, seven police mobile units and ambulances will be deployed across Karachi’s seven districts to serve as swift response units, providing immediate assistance in emergencies. Both organizations will set up dedicated help desks within each other’s call centers, operating 24/7, to streamline communication and effectiveness.

The initiative will also integrate helplines from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and the firefighting department, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated emergency response system.

The announcement was made during a high-level meeting at the SSU headquarters, attended by representatives from Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122 and senior officers from Madadgar-15. The collaboration aims to bolster the safety and welfare of Karachi’s residents, ensuring a more efficient and effective emergency response system for the city.
