The announcement came during a meeting between Ambassador Al-Maliki and Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman, where discussions revolved around promoting bilateral relations and mutual cooperation.
Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman expressed deep concern over the devastation caused by bombings in residential areas, camps, hospitals, and schools in Gaza. He characterized the use of weapons on unarmed citizens as a tragedy for civilized nations. Balighur Rehman highlighted the historical brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the common bonds of religion and culture.
Acknowledging Saudi Arabia’s positive steps in tourism, Governor Punjab welcomed the simplification of the visa policy for foreign tourists. He also appreciated the Saudi government’s new investment initiatives in Pakistan, emphasizing the favorable opportunities for Saudi investors in the country.
Commenting on educational cooperation, Balighur Rehman extended a warm welcome to Saudi students for studying in Pakistani universities. He praised Pakistani doctors for their global contributions, including in Saudi Arabia, where they have earned recognition.
In response, Ambassador Al-Maliki expressed his deep connection with Pakistan, referring to it as his second home. He conveyed his gratitude for the respect and love he has received. The ambassador announced that Saudi Arabia is providing scholarships to Pakistani students and emphasized the plans to further expand the student exchange program.
