The federal government has increased the price of power by 57 paisa per unit, shocking Karachi’s residents once more.
The government recommended an increase in electricity prices of 57 paisa per unit for K Electric, according to a statement made by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
Nepra claims that during the months of August, September, and October, Karachi customers may be subject to a 57-paise-per-unit monthly price rise. All customers, with the exception of Lifeline users, will pay the surcharge.
The decision will be put into effect after the federal government issues a notification, according to the Nepra statement, which claims that all disco consumers, with the exception of K Electric, have already paid this amount.
