Poomsae comes to Karachi, Korean master to conduct course

The 1st Combaxx Sindh Taekwondo Poomsae Course and Training Program will commence from today (Thursday) at the Sindh Sports Board Complex, Nazimabad, Karachi.

The eight-day long course will be conducted by internationally reputed 5th Dan Korean Master SEONG OH CHOI Kukkiwon (5th Dan/Kukkiwon), who has been specially invited to conduct this course.

The course will be attended by more than 50 athletes and 15 plus coaches/referees from all over the province. 

Since it is a certified course conducted by an internationally reputed Korean Master, the players will be imparted important and modern skills in the game. 

The participants will be given certificates at the conclusion of the extensive course which will continue for eight days with double sessions i.e. in the morning and evening on daily basis. Sindh Taekwondo Association (STA) President Kamran Qamar thanked Pakistan 

Taekwondo Federation (PTF) President Col (R) Waseem Janjua and CEO PTF & Combaxx Sports Omar Saeed for all the support, collaboration and supervision.

He said after these training sessions, those players and officials, who will excel at the course, will be called to the national coaching camp, scheduled to be held after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Kamran termed the course a unique opportunity for players from across the province.

He said that since taekwondo is a recognized Olympic sport, it not only provides an opportunity to bring laurels to the country at the national and international level but this sport also builds strength, stamina and flexibility and greatly improves one’s overall fitness and well-being.
