PFF explores Saudi Arabia for national football team camp

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is actively pursuing plans to organize a training camp for the national football team in Saudi Arabia, scheduled to take place from January 10 to 30, according to Geo.tv. The success of this initiative hinges on securing funding from FIFA to cover travel expenses and players’ allowances.

While the proposed camp in Saudi Arabia is under consideration, it is contingent upon FIFA providing the necessary financial support. The PFF has submitted a budget to FIFA outlining the required funds for travel expenses and player allowances during the camp. The Saudi Federation has expressed a willingness to cover all expenses related to the camp, provided FIFA allocates the necessary funds.

The camp in Saudi Arabia is strategically planned ahead of the World Cup qualifiers, with matches scheduled for March and June. However, the PFF is currently awaiting funds for U-23 and U-16 events, adding an element of uncertainty to the organization of the training camp.

As Pakistan gears up for crucial World Cup qualifiers, the efforts to secure FIFA funding for the national team’s training camp underscore the importance of adequate resources to prepare and compete at an international level. The success of the Saudi Arabia-based camp is pivotal in ensuring the national football team is well-prepared for upcoming challenges on the global stage.
