People’s Bus Service has been shut down, it was launched last year in April by PPP Government to cater the needs of Karachiites.
Bus service had a fleet of only 10 buses which provided service from Quaidabad to Tower, Karachi. Fare of the bus ranged between PKR 20-40.
Bus service incurred loss of millions as it did not increase fare when the price of diesel went high. Administration of bus service said that Sindh government did not renew the contract therefore buses are shifted at private company’s office located at Super Highway.
A citizen said, “Bus service was just for the show and PPP government has done nothing for public”.
