PCB to host tri-nation cricket tournament in Pakistan in February 2025

In an effort to revitalize international cricket in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to host a tri-nation cricket tournament next year, as revealed by ARY News.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently convened a meeting with counterparts from the South Africa and New Zealand cricket boards in Dubai, where discussions were held to finalize the arrangements for the upcoming tournament.

Titled the Tri-Series, the tournament is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February 2025 and will feature matches between Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand.

During the meeting, it was agreed that teams from South Africa and New Zealand would arrive in Pakistan by the end of January to participate in the tournament, marking a significant step towards the revival of international cricket in the country.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi extended invitations to both counterparts for the upcoming tour, highlighting the importance of international cricket returning to Pakistan and expressing gratitude to the South Africa and New Zealand cricket boards for their cooperation.

The announcement of the tri-nation tournament signals a promising development for cricket enthusiasts in Pakistan and underscores the PCB’s commitment to fostering a thriving cricketing environment in the country.
