Pakistani students to get UK scholarships

75 scholarships for Pakistanis to study in the UK have been announced by the British High Commission and British Council.

The scholarships, according to a statement from the British High Commission in Islamabad, would equip future Pakistani leaders with the abilities needed to address global issues.

Chevening graduates from Pakistan made a considerable contribution to flood relief operations in Pakistan, from fundraising to distributing necessities, according to Alex Ballinger, the UK representative to Punjab. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s assistance from the UK.

“We are with the people of Pakistan at this terrible time. We have all witnessed the devastating impact of these floods which have displaced millions of people and left much of Pakistan submerged,” he said.

“I’m pleased that on the same day the UK has pledged a total of £16.5m in flood relief funding, we can also announce 75 new UK scholarships which will play a vital part in allowing Pakistan to rebuild by investing in its people.”

He said that the UK will grant 12 GREAT scholarships, 63 Chevening scholarships, and fellowships.

The Chevening one-year master’s scholarship application period is available until November 1, 2022, according to the release.
