Sindh CM Adviser Murtaza Wahab has announced that the Pakistan Air Force Museum will be turned into an isolation facility to hold coronavirus patients.
As the number of cases of persons who have contracted the virus continues to rise, the Sindh Government has decided to use PAF Museum as a Quarantine facility.
Murtaza Wahab confirmed the news on Sunday in a tweet stating that Rs 30 million had been disbursed to convert the museum into an isolation ward.
“#SindhGovt had spent abt Rs 134 Mn on establishing Field Isolation Facility at Expo Centre. Now decision has been made to establish another such Isolation Facility at PAF Museum, Khi. An initial amount of Rs 30 Mn has been disbursed. Thank u Pakistan Airforce for providing space”, he tweeted.
Earlier on, the Sindh Government had decided to convert the Expo center into a quarantine facility and spent Rs 134 million on establishing it. Multiple other residential complexes at Nooriabad Industrial area, Nawabshah and Larkana were also converted to house the affected.
As of yet, the total cases of Coronavirus cases in Sindh have reached 7102 and 23 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
The total virus tally in Pakistan is 19103, with 989 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
