Notable Performances & Highlights

In men’s javelin throw, noted Olympian Arshad Nadeem – representing WAPDA – clinched gold with an 81.81-metre throw. WAPDA’s Yasir Sultan took silver, while Army’s Abrar Ali claimed bronze.

In athletics and track and field events, departmental teams – especially Army and WAPDA – collected several golds, underlining their dominance in both individual and team disciplines.

In disciplines like Taekwondo, team sports, swimming, and others, the distribution of medals confirmed that experienced departmental squads outperformed provincial contingents overall – underscoring the competitive edge departments currently have in national multi-sport events.

What This Means for National Games 2025

The final medal tally shows that while provincial teams contributed and had occasional successes, the departmental teams – especially Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Navy, and PAF – dominated across most sports. This reflects not only the depth of resources and training infrastructure in departmental setups, but also sets a benchmark for provinces to build stronger grassroots and talent-development programs.

For fans and analysts, these results offer a clear snapshot of where Pakistan’s sports stand – and which institutions are currently leading the way.
