MQM-P Hyderabad office opens up first time in 5 years

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) zonal office in Hyderabad has been reopened after five and a half years when it was shut down over hate speech charges by its founder in August 2016.

The development came soon after Prime Minister Imran Khan visited MQM-P headquarters at Bahadurabad to discuss the no-trust move against him.

The zonal in-charge of the party confirmed the development to ARY News. 

“The zonal office was sealed in August 2016,” the in-charge was quoted as saying. He added that it was reopened on the directives of the district administration.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi and Planning Minister Asad Umar accompanied the premier on this crucial visit.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to the overall political situation and ongoing development projects in Sindh including Karachi were discussed.
