The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted pleasant weather conditions across the country in the coming weeks, with more rain and comparatively lower temperatures expected. According to the PMD, temperatures are likely to remain below normal next week, and some areas can anticipate downpours.
However, the Met Office has also issued a warning about an approaching dust and wind storm that may affect several provinces including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, and Kashmir from May 28 to 30. The relevant authorities have been advised to remain vigilant to prevent any unfavorable situations during this period, as the storm may cause damage to standing crops and buildings.
The areas expected to experience wind, dust, thunderstorms, and rain include various cities and districts across Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab. In addition, the Kashmir region and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to see rain accompanied by wind, dust, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and isolated heavy falls.
The weather patterns in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, and other cities and districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Islamabad, Murree, Rawalpindi, and various locations in Punjab, will also remain consistent with occasional breaks.
Overall, the upcoming weather conditions are expected to provide relief from high temperatures and bring much-needed rainfall to different parts of Pakistan.
