Khalid Jamil Shamsi, the newly elected president of the Sindh Teqball Association and vice-president of the Pakistan Teqball Federation, announced on Friday that a Beach Teqball Championship will be held on the shores of Karachi in October this year.
Players from all districts of Sindh province will take part in the Beach Teqball Championship, which will be organized in collaboration with the Hungarian Embassy.
Khalid Jamil Shamsi said that the teqball game which is sponsored by famous footballer Ronaldinho and he has also been appointed as the ambassador of this game to make this game popular in the world. He will also visit Pakistan soon.
Khalid Jameel Shamsi said that this game is becoming increasingly popular in Pakistan. In this regard, a regular association has been set up in Sindh, the secretary of which is Haq Nawaz.
“We will visit all districts of Sindh and a Teqball Association will be formed in each division and district,” said Shamsi while making the announcement.
He further said in his statement that Mian Absar Ali from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who is the president of the federation, will soon visit Karachi and hold a press conference regarding teqball, its rules, its place in the world and Pakistan.
Khalid Jamil Shamsi appealed to the youth of Sindh to pay full attention to the game of teqball. He also asked print and electronic media to sponsor the Teqball Federation and the provincial association is hosting the game.
