Karachi’s ‘China port’ reopens for public

The South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT) which had first been opened to the public in 2018 but shut down again due to large crowds gathering there has been reopened for citizens once more.

The comparatively bare portion of the beach presents a clear and closer view of the breakwater, Oyster Rocks and the tall port cranes and all the cargo ships entering and leaving port.

The Karachi Port Trust, however, has not made any formal comment about reopening the spot to public again, in spite of various news organisations reaching out to them.
