With increasing cases of Coronavirus across the metropolis, Sindh Government has been trying to increase the per day testing capacity.
On Thursday, Sindh government Spokesman Murtaza Wahab took to twitter to announce the opening of a testing laboratory at Karachi University which has the capacity to carry out 800 tests per day. This is situated at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Research. The spokesman further said that the lab will be functional from Thursday onwards.
As of yet, the number of coronavirus cases across the country totals to 10,513 after 742 new infections were reported.
Based on records, 2,337 patients have recovered while 15 people have died. The current death toll is 224.
