Karachi University starts Covid-19 vaccination in different departments for students

In an important step for Covid-19 immunisation in the country, Karachi University has opened up vaccination facilities at the departmental level for the benefit of thousands of students enrolled at the varsity, a statement said on Thursday.

According to the statement, vaccination is available at the Karachi University Business School (KUBS) and would soon spread to other departments, centres, and institutions of the university.

KU’s interim Vice-Chancellor VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, while addressing the inauguration ceremony, said: “If we want to resume our daily routine as it used to be before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, then we all must get vaccinations on a priority basis.”

KU VC Prof Dr Iraqi also expressed gratitude to the provincial government for setting up a vaccination centre at the Centre for Bioequivalence Studies and Clinical Research at the University of Karachi. This vaccination centre is dedicated to the immunisation of KU employees, their families, and students.
