In its latest press release, Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted another heatwave set to strike Karachi from the 17th of May to the 22nd.
Based on the forecast, temperatures are likely to go as high as 40-42 degree Celsius. The wind will be flowing in from the Northwest to the South West in the evening.
The statement released on Friday was directed to Karachi mayor, governor, secretary aviation division and media which alerted others to an expected toughening of weather in the coming week.
Earlier, another heatwave had hit Karachi in the first week of May.
On Saturday, temperature in Karachi was recorded at 36 degree Celsius with parlty sunny skies which dropped to 27 degrees at night.
