Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) With a special grant of Rs 1000 million from the Sindh government, KMC’s Engineering department is constructing and lining more than 20 roads around the city.
Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has asked the Director General to complete these under-construction roads within the 45-day deadline, according to a KMC official on Friday.
Gharibabad to Usman Memorial Hospital, Madina Masjid Food Street, Ziauddin Hospital Chowrangi to Mujahid Colony, Sir Syed Girls College to Lasbela Chowk, Bada Maidan to Khilifat Chowk, and M. Mateen Food Road were among the District Central routes where development work began immediately. Each of these roads will cost Rs. 50 million to build.
East District University Road, Sindhi Muslim Society Chowrangi and Commercial Area, Link Road Tipu Sultan Mubarak Shaheed Road, and Tipu Sultan Mubarak Shaheed Road are being built.
Construction work on Shahrah e Attar and nearby regions, Shahrah e Iran, Shahrah e Liaquat, and MA Jinnah Road is under underway in the South District at a cost of Rs. 50 million apiece.
Similarly, in Malir, Khalid Bin Waleed Road is being built from Bhens Colony to Mehran Highway. Ammar Yasir Phase One and internal streets, as well as the route from Qadeer Chowk to Nafees Cinema, are all under development.
Jackson Market Road and other area roads, as well as the Site Flyover to Lyari Expressway, are being renovated or built in the West and Keamari Districts.
Similarly, flyovers and bridge expansion joints are being rebuilt.
Quaidabad Flyover, Malir Naddi Flyover, Natha Khan Flyover, Hassan Square Flyover, Johar Mor Flyover, and Qasim Umar Flyover opposite National Stadium will have expansion joints replaced.
Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has stated that quality should be considered in these activities so that the roads being built are long lasting.
He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan People’s Party leadership and the Chief Minister of Sindh for releasing a grant of 1000 million to the KMC for urgent relief.
The Administrator Karachi stated that formerly, all roadways were motorised to restore traffic flow; however, these roads are currently being restored.
Along with the road work, he claimed, a drainage system, walkways, and street lights were installed. going.
According to Barrister Murtaza Wahab, these are the roadways that a huge number of residents use to link different locations.
