In an aim to provide relief to the public the government has decided to distribute ration to the needy.
As reported by local news media, Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shallwani stated that government aims to provide ration to people who are suffering due to the ongoing pandemic of Corona virus at their doorsteps. As announced, ration will be delivered to the door steps of needy people on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The activity will be carried out with the aid of assistant commissioners.
Chief minister Murad Ali Shah announced the government would release Rs 580 million to cater to the needs of people in the city.
The drive is particularly targeted towards labourers who have suffered the most due to the lock down.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has launched a mobile application where welfare organisations can register to work with the provincial government to help distribute ration.
Earlier sindh government had announced to set up storage houses where ration would be stored. The government had urged people to avoid any kind of fraud in this activity and had warned that ration would be distributed after proper verification.
Many welfare organizations and individuals have sought to collecting funds to provide ration to people across the country.
