Karachi Metro goes digital with mobile app

Commuters in Karachi may breathe a sigh of relief as Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) announced the availability of a smartphone application for booking tickets for the Green and Orange Line Metro systems.

The app’s debut ceremony is set for February 23 at Numaish Chowrangi.

The new smartphone application will be a welcome addition to the megalopolis’ public transportation system.

Long wait times, inconsistent services, and trouble getting tickets have long plagued the city’s commuters. The app’s goal is to simplify the process and make commuting more easy for consumers.

The software will be accessible for both Android and iOS smartphones, and it will be easy to download from the respective app stores.

Once downloaded, users can easily recharge their accounts, book their travel, and check their balance at any time.

The app is expected to make traveling on the Green and Orange Line Metro systems more convenient, efficient, and affordable.
