JI initiates new phase of protests for Karachi’s rights

Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer, Hafiz Naeem, announced the commencement of a new phase of the Haq Du Karachi movement. He stated that a significant gathering would be announced soon.

Naeem emphasized that their movement is not driven by enmity or hatred. He questioned the ruling party’s track record of governing the province for 15 years and asked what they have provided to the people. He accused them of manipulating the census results, resulting in the disappearance of millions of people from Karachi’s population count.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer alleged that the ruling party fears the collective strength of Karachi’s population, as it could potentially result in a Karachi-based Chief Minister being elected. He accused them of obtaining power through dishonest means rather than the people’s mandate. He criticized the lack of progress in providing adequate transportation and addressing the city’s drainage issues.

Naeem dismissed the ruling party’s attempts to deceive the public and urged them to cease their corrupt practices. He asserted that the movement initiated by Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi would not be halted.
