The Intermediate Board of Education on Wednesday announced that students who obtained D and E grades in the examinations will be able to participate in special examinations, so that these candidates may be eligible for admission in universities without missing a year.

The Board has decided to provide the opportunity to students with less than 45% marks in Intermediate Pre-Engineering examinations to participate in special examinations and gain better marks.

Chairman of the board said that the date for the special examinations will be announced soon. 

Dr. Saeed-ud-Din said that by improving their percentage, students can prove themselves eligible for admission in universities next year.

The success rate in Inter Pre-Engineering was 95.55%,and out of these 6,605 candidates were successful in D grade and 3,450 candidates were successful in E grade
