For the eighth day in a row, the price of gold in Pakistan decreased, with a reduction of Rs1400 per tola on Thursday.
The price of the precious yellow metal per tola dropped by Rs 1400 to Rs 141,700, and the price per gramme dropped by Rs 1200 to Rs 121,485 according to the All Pakistan Jewellers Manufacturers Association.
On July 28, the price of gold reached an all-time high of Rs162,500 a tola.
The dollar, on the other hand, kept losing ground against the rupee on Thursday, closing at Rs218.88 in interbank after losing Rs3.03.
According to a report from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the US dollar lost Rs3.03 in today’s interbank trading to settle at Rs218.
