Electricity expected to rise by Rs4

NEPRA has announced that previous adjustments in K Electric prices will start affecting consumers in the first quarter of 2022.

These adjustments of Rs 4.30 were made in November 2021. However, it is also being said that Karachi residents will get relief of Rs0.75 per unit on electricity in the coming days.

Officials from NEPRA have further said that work has been started on three power purchase agreements with the federal government. 

K Electric officials say the plight of the people of Karachi will soon turn into ease when the company will be able to get 2050 MW power from NTD by 2023-24. 

K Electric officials have said that negotiations are underway with Sui Southern on the issue of gas pressure. Sui Southern Gas Company has also said that it is working on a plan to improve the service level.
