‘Education City Karachi’ development to start in July

The infrastructure development of the Education City Karachi project would begin in July 2023, according to Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) Sindh for Investment and Public-Private Partnership Projects, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar.

In his remarks at the police station’s opening ceremony in Education City, the SACM said that the project would not only allow for the high-quality education of more than 150 000 kids, but it would also generate a significant amount of direct and indirect employment prospects.

The Education City project covers 9,000 acres of land and the top educational institutions would be set up in the city as it is being built to give the people with best educational opportunity.

According to SACM, the project’s infrastructure development will begin in July 2023, and after it is finished, the economic and educational sectors of the country would see a major impact.

He expressed the expectation that the Education City project would mark an important turning point in Sindh’s history.

The SACM noted that the vision of Syed Murad Ali Shah, chief minister of Sindh, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the People’s Party, was the driving force behind this initiative.

Besides, Mansoor Abbas Zaidi, the secretary of the investment department, Sajid Jokhio, a member of the Sindh Assembly, Javed Ahmed Odhu, the project director, Abrar Sheikh, and other officials were also present during the ceremony.
