The Deputy Inspector General of Driving Licenses has sought approval for the establishment of six new branches of driving license offices in the city.
In case of approval from IG Sindh, branches would be formed in Saudabad, Saeedabad, Ajmer Nagri, Kemari, Gadap and Malir.
It has also been decided that two more mobile driving license units will be established in the city after the first one — established in Clifton — brought out great results, with at least 2000 new licenses issued and 700 licenses renewed through it since its inception.
The new branches will operate in two shifts to cater to citizens’ needs.
