Although they are permitted to resume their studies at any institution in Karachi, the Sindh Education Department has mandated that all college students affected by the floods sit exams in their respective areas.
They can also enrol in universities in other areas that were spared by the flooding.
In an effort to save their academic year, the students were given permission to enrol in any college in Sindh, according to an order issued by the director-general (DG) of colleges on Tuesday.
These kids must still show up for their individual districts’ exams, though.
It is important to note that the majority of the province’s educational buildings are presently sheltering flood victims and cannot be used for academic reasons.
Colleges DG In locations unaffected by the floods, instructors will continue to provide instruction, according to Muhammad Ali Manjhi.
He said that instructions had been given to the relevant colleges to accept students from regions affected by the floods.
Fayaz Ahmed Soomro, the deputy secretary for secretary to the government of Sindh, had previously stated in a statement that providing aid to internally displaced people (IDPs) is equally the obligation of the college community as it is of the government and other charitable organisations.
Wherever the district government has set up camps for IDPs, he requested the college professors to provide online instruction to pupils.
Teachers were also instructed to create and submit a database of flood survivors and an institutional inventory.
