Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab on Thursday said that the desilting of sewage lines and drains of Jahangir road has begun.
The administrator took to Twitter to announce the development and said that the “entire system was damaged when [the] road was built by the federal government.”
“Now work is being done to address the situation. [I] have asked KMC to make the road motorable so that commuters can be facilitated in their movement,” he concluded.

Earlier this week, the Times of Karachi had pointed this matter out in a news story and said that one of Karachi’s busiest roads, which had been repaired at the beginning of this year was in shambles again after the September rain spell.
