The protest was carried out by the residents of Baldia Town Karachi, who were suffering from non-stopping of gas for eight months. There was a heavy traffic jam.
Later, the general manager of Sui Southern Gas Company called a five-member delegation of the protestors for negotiations and assured them that the gas will be fully restored by 6 pm tomorrow, but the protesters said that they will continue the protest until the gas is restored.
170,000 gas leakage points detected in Karachi amid shortage
Gas leakage has been revealed from 170,000 places in Karachi, and most of the complaints have come from Central District.
Sources claim that only around 300 complaints are dealt with in 24 hours, with only one operational machine to remove water from the gas pipeline.
According to a Sui Southern spokesperson, Sui Southern has more than one gas line dewatering machine and works diligently on gas leakage complaints
