Suleman Chawla, Acting President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), has expressed his appreciation for the inauguration and functioning of the UAE’s largest visa center in Asia, located at the Karachi Consulate. He considers this development as a significant milestone in strengthening the people-to-people (P2P) and business-to-business (B2B) relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
Chawla believes that the establishment of the visa center will greatly encourage Pakistani businessmen, entrepreneurs, investors, exporters, tourists, and students to choose various emirates of the UAE as their preferred destinations for business and tourism.
Acknowledging the efforts of Bakheet Ateeq AlRemeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, Chawla commends his visionary and proactive role in facilitating the business community of Pakistan, particularly in Karachi.
FPCCI Vice President Shabbir Mansha emphasizes the importance of the UAE as a crucial destination for the export of skilled and semi-skilled Pakistani workers. He notes that the UAE is one of the top contributors to Pakistan’s workers’ remittances, playing a vital role in maintaining foreign exchange reserves, creating employment opportunities, ensuring a favorable strategic environment, and helping Pakistan avoid a balance of payments crisis by preventing default on its external liabilities.
During a meeting with the FPCCI delegation, AlRemeithi announces that Pakistani businessmen will receive UAE visas within one working day, with the minimum required documentation. He reiterates his commitment to enhancing B2B relations, fostering chamber-to-chamber linkages, promoting trade activities, encouraging joint ventures and industrial collaborations, and facilitating travel and tourism between Pakistan and the UAE.
AlRemeithi invites the business community of Karachi to approach him directly in case of any issues, complaints, or delays, assuring them of a customer-business-friendly experience without any hidden charges.
