The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation said on Friday that it is set to launch the operation to raze illegal structures across the remaining spots of Gujjar and Korangi nullah. This will be the final stage of the operation.
The anti-encroachment drive has begun in six more spots across Gujjar Nullah. KMC’s Bashir Siddiqui, who leads the drive, confirmed that the operation will continue over the weekend.
Four more regions of Korangi Nullah will be made free of encroachments. This is being done for a better flow of water through the nullah, just in time for Karachi’s next spell of monsoon rains.
