In Karachi, drug costs have begun to rise again; 1750 prescription drugs have increased to Rs 8,000. A scarcity of anesthesia is impacting the dentistry industry.

The latest wave of inflation and the rising dollar rate has not left the medicine industry free from its effects

Dentists say that anesthesia, required for any surgery in their field is now nearly extinct in Pakistani markets

The medication initially cost 1750 rupees and was sold on the market for 3500 rupees; however, due to a shortage, it is currently only accessible in black and costs between 7 and 8 thousand rupees.
