Legendary Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif, who is seriously ill and requires a rare medical procedure, is set to travel to the United States on September 27 via an air ambulance.

The air ambulance has been granted permission to land at Jinnah International Airport Karachi and is scheduled to arrive from Germany on September 26.
The following day, September 27, the air ambulance will transport Sharif to the United States for further medical treatment.
Emergency US Visa Granted to Umer Sharif
Sharif has been granted an emergency US visa following intervention at the state level.
Due to his serious medical condition, the veteran performer was exempted from appearing for a visa interview, allowing the process to be completed on an emergency basis.
The development came after appeals for government assistance to facilitate his travel to the United States for specialized medical treatment.
Sindh Government Announces Rs40 Million Grant
The Sindh government had announced a grant of Rs40 million for Umer Sharif’s medical treatment last month.
The federal government also extended support to the comedian and intervened with the US Consulate to help secure an emergency visa.
