The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) launched a successful operation on Thursday, arresting three of the five members of the ‘dacoit gang’ from Karachi’s Bahadurabad neighbourhood.
According to an SIU spokeswoman, the apprehended suspect was involved in many snatching and robbery occurrences across the city, as well as robbing residents who were withdrawing cash from banks.
Sajid, M Shahid, and Yaseen were named as the detained guys.
According to the spokesman, the gang accomplice tells the other perpetrators about the persons taking cash from the bank.
During the inquiry, the apprehended offenders admitted to being involved in robberies outside banks in various parts of Karachi.
Since 2010, the accused Shahid has been involved in numerous crimes in Karachi and has been detained 14 times.
