The 24-karat gold rate increased by Rs. 5,900, settling at Rs. 440,936 per tola.
This substantial rebound signal a potential shift in market sentiment, as buyers stepped in aggressively following recent declines. The recovery suggests that the recent correction may be nearing its end.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 5,058 to Rs. 378,031, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 4,637 to Rs. 346,541. The broad-based gains across all variants indicate renewed buying pressure.
The rally was fueled by a strong rebound in global markets. The international gold price rose by $59 to $4,184, recovering from recent lows and providing a bullish catalyst for local traders.
Since the late August peak above Rs. 483,000, gold remains below those highs, but the recovery from recent lows near Rs. 434,000 represents a bounce of approximately Rs. 7,000 per tola. The strong weekly close suggests that a short-term bottom may have formed.
Earlier to this, gold rate in Pakistan posted a small gain on Thursday, with the yellow metal recovering modestly after the previous session’s decline. The 24-karat gold rate rose by Rs. 600, closing at Rs. 435,036 per tola.
This modest uptick suggests that buying interest is returning at current levels, though the pace of gains remains subdued. The market appears to be searching for a short-term equilibrium after weeks of volatility.
