The latest drop puts gold prices at their lowest level since July and reverses the recovery recorded in the previous trading session.

The 24-karat gold rate declined by Rs12,800 per tola during the session.

In the 10-gram category, 24-karat gold fell by Rs10,973 to Rs375,631, while the rate for 22-karat gold decreased by Rs10,059 to Rs344,340.

The broad-based decline reflects the sharp weakness seen in both local and international bullion markets. The decline in Pakistan’s gold market was accompanied by a significant fall in international gold prices.

The international gold price dropped by $128 to $4,156 per ounce, according to the figures cited for the session.

The decline in global prices placed additional pressure on the domestic bullion market, contributing to Monday’s sharp fall.

Since reaching a peak above Rs483,000 per tola in late August, gold has now declined by approximately Rs45,000 per tola.

The latest fall also pushed the price below the Rs440,000 level. Gold remains above the July lows near Rs421,000, which is now an important reference level for the market.

Earlier to this, gold rate in Pakistan staged a strong recovery, with the yellow metal bouncing back sharply after four consecutive sessions of losses. The 24-karat gold rate rose by Rs. 4,700, closing at Rs. 453,036 per tola.

This significant rebound, the largest single-day gain in over a week, suggests that buyers have returned to the market after the recent correction. The recovery indicates that the dip below Rs. 450,000 was viewed as an attractive entry point by investors.

In 10 grams, 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 4,029 to Rs. 388,404, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 3,694 to Rs. 356,050. The broad-based gains across all variants indicate a powerful wave of buying interest.
