This gradual downward drift suggests that selling pressure remains but is not intensifying. The controlled nature of the decline indicates that the market is undergoing a measured correction rather than a panic sell-off.

The dip was influenced by continued weakness in global markets. The international gold price fell by $18 to $4,332, extending its retreat from recent highs. This global softness provided a bearish cue for local traders.
Since the late August peak above Rs. 483,000, gold has now retreated approximately Rs. 27,000 per tola. The metal remains above the July lows near Rs. 421,000, but the inability to mount a sustained recovery suggests ongoing caution among investors.
