The K3 nuclear plant in Karachi, which was constructed in collaboration with China, will be officially opened on Thursday, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who announced this on Wednesday.
The prime minister made this statement while speaking with a group from China National Nuclear Corporation that had come to visit him in this country.
According to a statement from the PM Office, Karachi’s nuclear energy production will increase to 2200 megawatts once the K3 power plant is operational.
The prime minister told the delegation that China was a close friend of Pakistan and had always supported it no matter what.
He claimed that the strategic alliance between China and Pakistan was admirable and that his nation wanted to make it even stronger.
