Police have admitted that they have yet to identify any suspect in the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza, submitting an interim challan before a judicial magistrate at the City Court.

Times of Karachi obtained a copy of the interim police challan, which does not name any individual as an accused in the case.
The challan lists 53 witnesses, including members of Mir Raza’s family, friends and business partners. Police have included charges relating to kidnapping, murder and destruction of evidence in the case.
According to the interim challan, investigators examined CCTV footage and other digital evidence during the investigation. A USB containing digital material, mobile phone records and statements from various individuals have also been included in the case record.
Police also obtained details of calls and contacts between different mobile numbers and recorded statements from several witnesses.
The investigators said relevant institutions had been approached for forensic examination of the available evidence.
However, the interim challan states that the investigation is continuing from different angles and that police have not yet achieved a breakthrough despite their efforts.
Police are still awaiting data from Mir Raza’s mobile phone, Apple Watch and SIM card, according to the challan.
Forensic reports concerning mobile phones belonging to his business partners are also pending. Investigators are additionally waiting for details linked to a Binance account as part of the ongoing probe.
The forensic report of a USB containing CCTV footage has also not yet been received.
Police said the investigation would continue in light of the available evidence, with further action to be taken after the pending digital and forensic reports are received.
Earlier in the day, two friends of Mir Raza – Haitham and Raziq – were appeared before the judicial commission and recorded their statement.
