The DGIP advised citizens who have been unable to collect their passports during regular working hours to take advantage of the extended Saturday schedule.
The department also urged citizens to collect their passports as soon as possible.
The DGIP warned that passports left unclaimed for six months will be destroyed in accordance with government policy.

Citizens waiting for their passports have therefore been advised not to delay collection.
The development comes after the DGIP partnered with logistics and courier company TCS in July to launch “Passport Aapki Dehleez Par,” a home delivery service aimed at making passport collection more convenient.
DGIP Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the initiative was part of efforts to make passport services more accessible and efficient.
The government also announced in June that it would gradually phase out machine-readable passports and transition completely to e-passports.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the move would help curb fraud and forgery associated with passports.
Citizens are advised to check official DGIP updates for any changes to the Saturday collection schedule or passport service procedures.
