Karachi Traffic Police has issued a road closure alert for motorists, announcing the temporary closure of key routes around Society Signal due to security measures.

According to the announcement, traffic has been diverted around Society Signal in District East as authorities have temporarily closed several roads due to security arrangements.
According to the Karachi Traffic Police, the road from Society Signal towards Ayesha Aziz on Kashmir Road has been closed to traffic in both directions.
Motorists travelling from Society Signal are being diverted by taking a U-turn and returning, while traffic approaching from Ayesha Aziz is being redirected towards PP Chowrangi.
On the other hand, the section of Shahrah-e-Quaideen Road from Society Signal towards Numaish Chowrangi has also been closed due to security measures.
Traffic approaching the affected section is being diverted from Society Signal back towards Noorani Signal.
Traffic police personnel have been deployed at the affected points to manage the flow of vehicles and facilitate commuters using alternative routes.
Citizens have been advised to avoid the affected roads where possible and plan their journeys in advance to minimise delays.
Motorists seeking guidance on alternative routes can contact the Karachi Traffic Police Helpline at 1915.
Commuters have also been advised to follow traffic updates through FM 88.6 and remain alert for further changes in the diversion plan.
It is pertinent to mention that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is set to arrive in Karachi from Hyderabad on September 6 (today) at around 6pm to lead the Grand Street Movement rally.
The rally will begin from the Toll Plaza, with the first address scheduled at Sohrab Goth at 7pm. The rally and second address will then take place at Liaquatabad Flyover at 8pm, after which participants will proceed from Gurumandir towards Mazar-e-Quaid.
The rally will conclude at Mazar-e-Quaid, where Sohail Afridi is scheduled to deliver an important address at 9pm.
