A video showing three individuals allegedly beating a young man in Karachi’s Defence area has gone viral on social media, prompting police authorities to take notice of the incident.

According to media reports, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Sahil Police Station. The victim was allegedly taken to the Bukhari area before being forcibly moved towards the vicinity of the police station.
The reports alleged that a total of three individuals subjected the young man to physical abuse. The victim was also allegedly forced to cut and eat his own hair and verbally abuse himself during the incident.
However, no formal complaint has reportedly been lodged with police so far.
DIG South Asad Raza took notice of the incident after the video surfaced online and directed police to investigate the matter and identify those involved with the help of the footage.
The DIG said the victim had been asked to register a formal case with police. Authorities are also working to identify and trace the alleged suspects.
Police will determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish responsibility as the investigation proceeds.
It is pertinent to mention here that a young boy named Mir Raza was disappeared and later found dead in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area.
According to an online taxi driver’s statement to police, Raza booked a cab from the PECHS area and got off in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on July 28, 2026, around 4:09 AM but never reached his business premises. His phone was found switched off shortly after.
Unable to reach him, his family contacted the Madadgar 15 helpline that same night and subsequently registered a case at Ferozabad Police Station against unidentified persons under Section 365 (kidnapping) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Edhi officials recovered a body bearing gunshot wounds from bushes near Shahi Qila Ground, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 1, on July 29, 2026, Wednesday, after 11:00 AM.
