Karachi Traffic Police has issued a special traffic plan for processions scheduled to be held across the city on 8 Rabi-ul-Awwal, August 22, with authorities making alternative arrangements to maintain the flow of traffic.

According to a Traffic Police spokesperson, processions will be taken out from Nishtar Park and various other locations across Karachi.
Special traffic arrangements will be implemented along the procession routes to minimise disruption for commuters.
Vehicle passes for procession participants
The Traffic Police has announced that vehicle passes for participants will be issued from August 17 to August 20.
Applicants seeking passes will be required to submit the following documents:
- Vehicle registration card
- Copy of CNIC
- Two passport-size photographs
Drivers and vehicle owners have also been advised to carry their original vehicle registration card and CNIC when applying for or using the vehicle passes.
Participants requiring further information regarding the passes can contact the relevant central Traffic Police office.
Alternative traffic arrangements
Karachi Traffic Police said alternative traffic arrangements will be introduced along routes used by the processions to facilitate the movement of vehicles and reduce congestion.
Traffic personnel will be deployed at key points to guide motorists and manage traffic during the processions.

Citizens have been advised to cooperate with traffic police officials and follow instructions, particularly when travelling along or near procession routes.
Motorists are also encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes where necessary to avoid delays.
