The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Monday announced the result of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) Part-II Pre-Engineering Annual Examination 2026.

According to the result gazette released by the Board, 9,853 candidates from 255 affiliated colleges and higher secondary schools have successfully cleared the Intermediate Science (Pre-Engineering) Group Part-II examination.
A separate list of 81 candidates has been placed under the “withheld” category, with the Board stating their marks statements are on hold pending verification of enrolment cards.

Grade-wise breakdown
Of the total successful candidates, results were distributed across grades as follows:
- A-1 grade: 995 students
- A grade: 1,793 students
- B grade: 2,221 students
- C grade: 2,648 students
- D grade: 1,995 students
- E grade: 201 students
The C grade emerged as the single largest category, accounting for nearly 27 percent of all successful candidates, while just under one in ten students secured the top A-1 grade.
Top-performing colleges
Adamjee Government Science College led the city in producing top scorers, with 169 of its students securing an A-1 grade – by far the highest tally among all institutions. It was followed by BAMM P.E.C.H.S. Government College for Women with 127 A-1 grades, and Dehli Government College with 70.
Several of the highest individual scores in the province were also recorded at Adamjee Government Science College, where multiple students crossed the 1,000-mark threshold, alongside toppers from Bahria College (Karsaz), Dehli Government College, and St. Lawrence’s Government Girls Degree College.
Marks and grace marks
In line with Board policy, marks obtained by successful candidates have been indicated against their roll numbers in the gazette.

Additional marks awarded to raise grades in hardship cases are marked with a plus (+) sign, while grace marks awarded separately are indicated with a caret (^) sign, as has been the Board’s standard practice in previous years.
Withheld results and next steps
The Board has clarified that the 81 candidates whose results have been withheld are being held back solely for want of verification of their enrolment cards, and are advised to contact the Board’s office for resolution.
