Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting to review security, traffic and administrative arrangements for the procession of Youm-e-Ali (RA) in Karachi.
The meeting decided that the procession would be provided foolproof security. Authorities also agreed to ensure proper cleanliness and street lighting along the route.
Security and Traffic Plan Finalized
Peer Muhammad Shah, DIG Traffic, shared details of the traffic management plan, including designated alternative routes to minimize inconvenience for citizens, meanwhile, the senior police officials also briefed the commissioner on security arrangements for the procession.

DIG East Farukh Lanjar and DIG South Asad Raza also attended the meeting and discussed deployment strategies.
Civic Arrangements Along Procession Route
Deputy Commissioner East Nasrullah Abbasi and Deputy Commissioner South Javed Nabi Khoso were directed to coordinate closely with procession organizers.

The meeting was also attended by the Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), municipal commissioners of concerned town administrations, and Assistant Commissioner HQ Rabia Syed.
Officials decided to ensure:
- Cleanliness along the entire procession route
- Proper street lighting
- Availability of water supply
- Immediate resolution of any sewerage complaints
Coordination With Organizers
Organizers presented suggestions to improve arrangements. The commissioner directed all concerned officials to maintain coordination with organizers to ensure smooth facilitation.
