A new spell of rain has entered the country, with the Meteorological Department forecasting cold winds from Siberia to sweep across Karachi.
According to the department, the intensity of cold in Karachi is expected to increase, with chilly winds continuing throughout the day.

Meanwhile, other parts of the country are likely to experience rainfall and snowfall during this new weather spell.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert from today, January 31 until February 3, warning of potential rain and snowfall.
The Meteorological Department expects rainfall in northern Balochistan and other northern regions of Pakistan, while mountainous areas may see snowfall.

Areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to witness rain and snowfall.
Between February 1 to 3, Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Punjab, Murree, and Gilgit could see rain and snowfall.
Higher-altitude areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are at risk of landslides due to the ongoing weather conditions.

The NDMA has instructed relevant authorities to remain alert and take precautionary measures in advance to prevent any adverse impacts from the stormy weather.
