The chief minister stated that the government will fund the project through the Infrastructure Development Cess collected by the Excise and Taxation Department.
Industrial representatives requested that the funds be released via a grant-in-aid mechanism to speed up execution, rather than routing the project through the Annual Development Programme.
This initiative is expected to improve roads and logistics in Karachi’s industrial areas, supporting smoother business operations and economic growth.
