The Sindh government has issued an official notification confirming two public holidays in December 2025 for Christians.
According to the notification, Thursday, December 25, 2025, will be observed as a public holiday to mark Quaid-e-Azam Day, honoring the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as well as Christmas.

According to the notification, on this day, all government offices, autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under Sindh’s administrative control will remain closed, except for employees engaged in essential services.
In addition, Friday, December 26, 2025, has been declared a public holiday specifically for Christian employees, following the Christmas celebrations.
This ensures that Christian staff will enjoy two consecutive days off.

The notification has been circulated to relevant federal and provincial departments, including the Establishment Division, Board of Revenue Sindh, Sindh High Court, and other administrative offices for necessary action.
The two-day holiday reflects Sindh’s commitment to promoting religious harmony and recognizing minority communities, following a similar move in October when holidays were announced for the Diwali festival.
